I'm back

Well, as you can tell, it has been quite a while since I was on. A lot has been happening here. Tina and Willa came the last week in June and spent a week with us until they could get a hop to Japan to spend the summer with Chris. They all came back the end of July and spent another week with us until Tina and Willa had to go home (to Tucson). Willa started school August 5th. During this time we got the opportunity to babysit Willa so Chris and Tina could have a mini second honeymoon. It worked out well. They had a great time at the ocean and we had a great time with Willa. She is such a sweetheart. I have been worrying about what my grand kids would call me. I have been informed by my kids that Gran is out because there can only be one Gran, my mom. I don't particularly like "Grandma". Well, Willa solved this delima. She started off calling me "Grandmama". And she used such a grand tone. I love it. She also decided that Bryan should be called Grandmama-Grandpa. He nixed that idea and told her Grandpa was enough. Christopher spent another week with us, sort of. His Grandmother Jones died and he went down to Crescent City, CA with his dad and Uncle Dave for the funeral. We were sad to hear of her passing, but I know she was more than ready to get back together with her husband and family.

Bryan is still looking for work. A few nibbles, but no bites yet. He has an interview on Sept. 3rd, and we are sending out 5 applications this week. Our knees are getting sore from praying. I do know that the right job will come at just the right time. I guess this is a test of our patience and faith.

Stephanie is getting anxious and ready to return to school. I am driving her back on Sept. 7th. Our friend Jan is going with us. It should be a fun trip. Bryan is staying home because (we are thinking positive) he will have a job, Emily starts high school on Sept.9th, and of course, our dog Sugar needs companionship. She goes into doggy depression when I am gone.

I am still (thank goodness) working at my friend's Alpaca ranch. I think this has been my salvation. Debra's husband lost his job a month before Bryan, so we have been fellowshipping and uplifting each other. It has been good to have someone to go through this process with. I have to tell you, I am greatful for all your prayers and well wishes on our behalf. Thank you!!

It has been so great having Chris, Tina and Willa visiting. We have gone to the ocean together. Poor Willa doesn't have any body fat, and she froze. Of course I had to get her a sweatshirt. She looked awfully cute. We also spent yesterday at the county fair. We had lots of fun. Willa was excited because she got to see her roosters. They are her favorite. Also, she got to go on a bunch of rides. That girl is game for just about anything.

Emily spent last week at Girl's Camp. It was a tough week because it was so hot. They had lot of girls getting sick from it. Thank goodness Emily was not one of them. I got to go up on Thursday and spend the day with her. I have missed going. Last year I couldn't go because of my surgery, this year was because of Chris's (and family) visit.

I guess Willa is now comfortable enough here, she is starting to get naughty. It is interesting to watch her thought processes. You can just see those thoughts running around in her head. I have really enjoyed having her here and getting to know her more. I get to babysit her so Chris and Tina can get away for over night. Chris and Tina haven't been able to get away alone for a long time. I'm glad we could do this and that Willa is comfortable enough with us for this to happen.
