I'm back

Of course it has been quite a while since I've been on. A lot has happened. Stephanie and I made the trip back to Rexburg, ID the first week of September. It was a great drive. Our friend Jan Kessler went with us. We dropped her off in Pocotello, ID at her daughters. We had fun getting her apartment all set up. She has really good roommates this year. YEA!!!!! Her classes are pretty intense this semester, so I get a few phone calls about her stressing out. She did get to go on a fabulous field trip to the church's historical sites in Illinois a couple of weeks ago.

Emily started High School in September. She is really enjoying it. She is taking a few honors classes right now, so her load is quite heavy. Plus, she is class president in her Young Women's class at church and Stake Youth Committee member. She was asked to Homecoming last month. She looked beautiful and her date brought her a dozen red roses. Very nice. She had a fun time.

In October she was given a trip to Dallas to spend the weekend with our friend Heather and her boys at Heather's parents house. They took her to the Dallas Aquarium, and State Fair and the Book Depository Museum (about Kennedy's assassination). And, of course, she had a great time. Emily has a great time where ever she goes.

Bryan is STILL looking for work. He met again the guy he interviewed with a few month ago at PSE (our power company) a couple of weeks ago and he is meeting with him again in about a week and a half. We are keeping our fingers crossed that it will lead to a job. How great would that be. Bryan joined the local Chamber of Commerce and this guy is the president of the group.

I'm still working at the alpaca ranch. It's now time to break out the heavy work overalls. It's quite cold in the mornings. I need my woolies. The babies are growing fast and so cute. Debra and I went to Kennewick, WA last Saturday to drop off a couple of visiting alpacas and pick up a couple of her alpacas. They were swoped for breeding. It was a beautiful drive. All the trees are gold, red and orange and the fruit fields were all different colors. What a perfect day.

Well, since I probably won't be back on before Thanksgiving I am wishing all of you a wonderful Thanksgiving and want to tell you how thankful I am to have you in my life. You enrich me.

I'm back

Well, as you can tell, it has been quite a while since I was on. A lot has been happening here. Tina and Willa came the last week in June and spent a week with us until they could get a hop to Japan to spend the summer with Chris. They all came back the end of July and spent another week with us until Tina and Willa had to go home (to Tucson). Willa started school August 5th. During this time we got the opportunity to babysit Willa so Chris and Tina could have a mini second honeymoon. It worked out well. They had a great time at the ocean and we had a great time with Willa. She is such a sweetheart. I have been worrying about what my grand kids would call me. I have been informed by my kids that Gran is out because there can only be one Gran, my mom. I don't particularly like "Grandma". Well, Willa solved this delima. She started off calling me "Grandmama". And she used such a grand tone. I love it. She also decided that Bryan should be called Grandmama-Grandpa. He nixed that idea and told her Grandpa was enough. Christopher spent another week with us, sort of. His Grandmother Jones died and he went down to Crescent City, CA with his dad and Uncle Dave for the funeral. We were sad to hear of her passing, but I know she was more than ready to get back together with her husband and family.

Bryan is still looking for work. A few nibbles, but no bites yet. He has an interview on Sept. 3rd, and we are sending out 5 applications this week. Our knees are getting sore from praying. I do know that the right job will come at just the right time. I guess this is a test of our patience and faith.

Stephanie is getting anxious and ready to return to school. I am driving her back on Sept. 7th. Our friend Jan is going with us. It should be a fun trip. Bryan is staying home because (we are thinking positive) he will have a job, Emily starts high school on Sept.9th, and of course, our dog Sugar needs companionship. She goes into doggy depression when I am gone.

I am still (thank goodness) working at my friend's Alpaca ranch. I think this has been my salvation. Debra's husband lost his job a month before Bryan, so we have been fellowshipping and uplifting each other. It has been good to have someone to go through this process with. I have to tell you, I am greatful for all your prayers and well wishes on our behalf. Thank you!!

It has been so great having Chris, Tina and Willa visiting. We have gone to the ocean together. Poor Willa doesn't have any body fat, and she froze. Of course I had to get her a sweatshirt. She looked awfully cute. We also spent yesterday at the county fair. We had lots of fun. Willa was excited because she got to see her roosters. They are her favorite. Also, she got to go on a bunch of rides. That girl is game for just about anything.

Emily spent last week at Girl's Camp. It was a tough week because it was so hot. They had lot of girls getting sick from it. Thank goodness Emily was not one of them. I got to go up on Thursday and spend the day with her. I have missed going. Last year I couldn't go because of my surgery, this year was because of Chris's (and family) visit.

I guess Willa is now comfortable enough here, she is starting to get naughty. It is interesting to watch her thought processes. You can just see those thoughts running around in her head. I have really enjoyed having her here and getting to know her more. I get to babysit her so Chris and Tina can get away for over night. Chris and Tina haven't been able to get away alone for a long time. I'm glad we could do this and that Willa is comfortable enough with us for this to happen.

Terry & Family

Today is quiet. Emily is at Girl's Camp, Stephanie is at work, Chris and family are visiting with his dad, Bryan is hybernating in his office. It's just me and my fan. Oh, did I tell you it is at least 200 degrees outside and, of course, I'm whining (Stephanie says big time). Even Sugar is hiding under the table. Up side, the sky is blue and the trees are green. It is beautiful.

I was talking with Chris and Tina this morning, remembering when Bryan and I got married. Uncle Kirk and Aunt Thelda came for the wedding, but forgot their temple recommend. So they elected to stay at Mom's house and watch the boys (at this time 4 and 6) for us. When we got home afterwards, Chris met us at the door the proceeded to tell us the Aunt Thelda broke the TV. Apparently, Chris tried every knob and button on the TV. Poor Aunt Thelda looked poleaxed. We had a good laugh about it. I was also remembering Eric's wedding to Barbara. This was the summer after my wedding. Chris and Peter looked so cute in their white shirts and dark shorts. Of course, this did not last long. The boys found the creek at the bottom of property and soon Pete fell into the creek. Also, the Aunts, Mom, Andie and I found out what scotsmen wear under their kilts. Unfortunatley, this time it was tighty-whities. But the chest was magnificient. For us girls it was a highlight.
